(Oct. 21, 2009 - Gallatin, TN)... FLW Outdoors’ Bass Fishing League Chevy Wild Card event is set to take place on Old Hickory Lake Oct. 30-31 in Gallatin, Tenn. Anglers who entered all five tournaments in a BFL division this season and did not qualify for any other BFL regional are eligible to compete in this no-entry-fee tournament for a shot at advancing to the no-entry-fee Walmart BFL All-American presented by Chevy. Qualified anglers may enter immediately by calling FLW Outdoors at (270) 252-1000. Registration for the Chevy Wild Card will close at 6 p.m. Central time Oct. 29. Qualified anglers may enter as a boater or co-angler regardless of how they fished tournaments during the 2008 season.
Anglers fishing the Chevy Wild Card may participate in an optional pot, which will be awarded to the top 20 percent of the field. The optional pot fees are $200 for boaters and $100 for co-anglers. Anglers participating in the optional pot will automatically be entered into a big bass pot, which will be paid each day.
All ties will be broken by the heaviest one-day stringer. Those still tied will remain tied except for ties for sixth place, which will be broken by 2009 divisional points standings.
There is no official practice period or off limits period prior to the pretournament meeting. No contestant may, however, be on tournament waters for the purpose of locating bass or potential fishing waters after the start of the pretournament meeting except during tournament hours. The purchasing of information or the hiring of services for this tournament is not permitted.
Registration will be held at the Gallatin Civic Center located at 210 Albert Gallatin Rd. in Gallatin from 3 to 6 p.m. Oct. 29. The pretournament meeting will be held at the same location starting at 7 p.m.
Bulls Creek Access, located at 200 Odoms Bend Rd. in Gallatin, will host daily takeoffs and weigh-ins at 7 a.m. and 3 p.m., respectively, Oct. 30-31.
The top six boater and top six co-angler finishers at the Wild Card will advance to the 2010 All-American.
The 2009 Chevy Wild Card is hosted by the Sumner County Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Total awards are based on a full field of 200 boats in every tournament.
