(Dec. 27, 2010 - Mobile, AL)... Ono’s Trading Company announced it is title sponsor of Fish the Baja Presented By Ono’s an all-new weekly sportfishing show from Mexico’s Baja Peninsula premiering nationally on the Versus channel Dec. 28.

Chris Nelson, Ono’s marketing director, said Fish the Baja Presented By Ono’s stars "high performance" host Dave Maynard who leads viewers to the Baja Peninsula’s most amazing fishing action in the Pacific and Sea of Cortez.

"This action-packed show makes the case to anglers every week for superior gear, especially high-definition Ono’s sunglasses for spotting fish, for strong, neat knots, and for protecting the angler’s eyesight from an unrelenting sun," Nelson said.

Maynard, a Telly-award winner, said Fish the Baja Presented By Ono’s lets viewers experience breathtaking scenes from both coasts including surf action, big game trolling, and fly-fishing. "I am proud to partner with Ono’s Trading Company and to have the opportunity to show anglers how superior vision and eye protection are vital for successful fishing anywhere," Maynard said. "Baja has some of the best fishing on the planet but here the sun’s rays are non-stop, like the action. An angler positively, absolutely needs clear vision and 100 percent eye protection."

Fish the Baja Presented By Ono’s will feature opening and closing credits for the title sponsor plus one 30-second Ono’s commercial on each program. Ono’s Trading Company pioneered sunglasses with magnification bifocals that are especially popular with anglers for tying knots and other close-up work. The company also markets high-definition polarized sunglasses for men and women who do not require bifocal magnification as well as affordable prescription sunglasses that can be ordered online.

Maynard said Fish the Baja Presented By Ono’s also would be promoted with fresh web content on yhe fishthebaja website, You Tube videos, Facebook entries, Twitter feeds and regular blogging on his "WhatsUpBlog."
