Tennessee Pro Advances Straight into Thursday’s Championship Round, Group B to Conclude Qualifying Round Tuesday
(Apr 11, 2022 - TYLER, Texas) After jumping out to an early lead on Saturday, pro Ott DeFoe of Blaine, Tennessee, put the pedal down and ran away with the Qualifying Round victory Monday for Group A at the General Tire Heavy Hitters Presented by Bass Pro Shops on Lake Palestine. DeFoe caught seven scorable bass weighing 21 pounds, 7 ounces – both high totals among the 16 anglers competing Monday – to earn the Qualifying Round win and advance directly to Thursday’s final-day Championship Round.

Boater Justin Garner of Highlandville, Missouri, caught five bass Saturday weighing 21 pounds, 13 ounces, to win the MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing League Presented by T-H Marine on Table Rock Lake . The tournament was the season-opener for the Bass Fishing League Ozark Division. Garner earned $13,000, which included the lucrative $7,000 Phoenix MLF Contingency Bonus, for his victory.

(Apr 5, 2022 - BROOKELAND, Texas) Boater Blake Schroeder of Whitehouse, Texas, caught five bass Saturday weighing 23 pounds, 4 ounces, to win the MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing League Presented by T-H Marine on Sam Rayburn Reservoir . The tournament, hosted by the Jasper County Development District, was the third event for the Bass Fishing League Cowboy Division. Schroeder earned $5,475 for his victory.

Boater Landon Edwards of Springdale, Arkansas, caught five bass Sunday weighing 19 pounds, 1 ounce, to win the MLF Phoenix Bass Fishing League Presented by T-H Marine on Table Rock Lake . The tournament was the second event for the Bass Fishing League Ozark Division. Edwards earned $6,000 for his victory.

After a solid start on Wednesday, he climbed into the lead with the heaviest bag of the tournament on Day 2, then he held off some hard-charging contenders on Friday.

They earned a $2,500 scholarship.

Johnson’s three-day total of 15 bass weighing 54-14 earned him the win by an 11-ounce margin over second-place angler Blake Schroeder of Whitehouse, Texas, and earned Johnson the top payout of $31,751 in the third and final tournament of the 2020 Toyota Series Southwestern Division.

The two-day championship paid out more than $289,000 in total winnings.
