ORANGE, Texas — Before the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Elite at Sabine River presented by Econo Lodge, Greg Hackney had a total weight in mind that he thought an angler would need to win the $100,000 first-place prize.



(Jun 9, 2018 - CADIZ, Ky.) Boater Jake Lawrence of Paris, Tennessee, won the Costa FLW Series at Lake Barkley presented by T-H Marine Saturday after bringing a limit of bass weighing 19 pounds, 11 ounces to the scale. Lawrence’s three-day total of 15 bass weighing 72-4 gave him the win by a 7-pound, 5-ounce margin and earned him the top prize of $48,300.

For the third time in YETI FLW College Fishing history, the National Championship winners Hunter Freeman and Thomas Soileau from the University of Louisiana-Monroe faced off Saturday in a one-day fish-off on the Red River to decide which team member would represent their school at the 2018 Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of bass fishing.

Local boater Nick LeBrun of Bossier City, Louisiana, brought five bass to the scale Saturday weighing 19 pounds, 15 ounces, to win the 35th annual T-H Marine Bass Fishing League (BFL) All-American on Cross Lake with a three-day cumulative total of 15 bass weighing 62-8.

Local boater Randy Deaver of Blanchard, Louisiana, grabbed the lead at the 35th annual T-H Marine Bass Fishing League (BFL) All-American on Cross Lake Friday with five bass weighing 25 pounds, 3 ounces, bringing his two-day cumulative total to 10 bass weighing 46-3.

The University of Louisiana-Monroe (ULM) duo of Thomas Soileau and Hunter Freeman, both of Monroe, Louisiana, weighed a five-bass limit Friday totaling 15 pounds, 13 ounces – the largest limit weighed in the three-day tournament – to win the 2018 YETI FLW College Fishing National Championship on the Red River presented by Lowrance C-MAP Genesis.


Arizona’s Parks Leads Co-anglers
(May 31, 2018 - SHREVEPORT, La.) Local boater Nick LeBrun of Bossier City, Louisiana, grabbed the early lead at the 35th annual T-H Marine Bass Fishing League (BFL) All-American on Cross Lake Thursday with a massive five-bass limit weighing 26 pounds, 9 ounces. LeBrun will begin day two of the three-day competition with a 3-pound, 13-ounce, lead over Adam Wagner of Cookeville, Tennessee, and Chris Daves of Spring Grove, Virginia, who are tied for second place after each weighing five bass good for 22 pounds, 12 ounces.

The Warhawk duo brought a five-bass limit to the scale weighing 14 pounds, 7 ounces, giving them a 12-ounce cushion over the second place team of Charlie DeShazer and Jackson Ebbers from the University of Nebraska.

(May 30, 2018 - WAGONER, OK.) The Charles Page High School duo of Mack Taylor and Reese David, both of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Sunday weighing 19.42 pounds to win the 2018 TBF/FLW High School Fishing Oklahoma State Championship on Fort Gibson Lake.

(May 24, 2018 - Lakepoint, CA) As expected following a difficult practice for most competitors, the majority of Clear Lake’s big bass seemed to have a case of lockjaw during the first day of competition at the 2018 Academy Sports + Outdoors B.A.S.S. Nation Western Regional presented by Magellan Outdoors. But, as always, there were a handful of anglers able to figure out what the bass in California’s largest natural body of water were doing.

Tyler Corey of Amherst, Wisconsin, and Casey Hoffman of New London, Wisconsin, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 15 pounds, 11 ounces to win the 2018 Bass Pro Shops FLW High School Fishing Mississippi River Open. The win advanced the team to the 2018 High School Fishing National Championship, held June 26-30, on Pickwick Lake in Florence, Alabama.

(May 22, 2018 - Greenville’s Miller Wins Co-angler Title) Boater Adam Wood of Springfield, Georgia, caught five bass weighing 21 pounds, 3 ounces, Saturday to win the 2018 T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) South Carolina Division event at Clarks Hill Lake. For his victory, Wood earned $4,550.

Boater Michael Black of Toledo, Illinois, brought a five-bass limit to the scale weighing 14 pounds, 12 ounces, Saturday to win the 2018 T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Illini Division event at Lake Shelbyville presented by Navionics. For his victory, Wood brought home $6,879.

(May 22, 2018 - Eufaula, OK) Boater Mark Johnson of Weleetka, Oklahoma, brought a five-bass limit to the scale weighing 18 pounds, 6 ounces Saturday to win the 2018 T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Okie Division event at Lake Eufaula. For his victory, Johnson earned $5,349.

(May 22, 2018 - Houston County Lake, TX) Fourteen Individuals came out to Lake Houston to fish the Anglers Quest Tournament. The temperature started out at 86 degrees and ended up around 93 degrees before it started cooling off from the rain that was on the way Sunday evening.

(May 22, 2018 - HUDDLESTON, Va.) Boater Rick Tilley of Moneta, Virginia, brought a five-bass limit to the scale weighing 18 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to win the 2018 T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Shenandoah Division event at Smith Mountain Lake. Tilley earned $4,350 for his victory.

(May 22, 2018 - BRANDON, Ms.) Local boater Shannon Denson of Brandon, Mississippi, brought a five-bass limit to the scale weighing 21 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win the 2018 T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Mississippi Division event at Ross Barnett Reservoir presented by Navionics. For his victory, Denson earned $7,610.


Tennessee’s Jason Lambert Weighs More than 100 Pounds of Bass in Four Days at Kentucky Lake, Wins $100,000
(May 20, 2018 - GILBERTSVILLE, Ky.) Pro Jason Lambert of Michie, Tennessee, brought five bass weighing 27 pounds, 3 ounces, to the FLW weigh-in stage Sunday to win the FLW Tour at Kentucky Lake presented by Costa Sunglasses by a margin of 28 pounds even – a new all-time FLW Tour record for margin of victory.

(May 16, 2018 - GILBERTSVILLE, Ky) The Marshall County High School team of Tristan Barrett and Evan Bremmerkamp brought a two-day cumulative total of eight bass weighing 27 pounds, 11 ounces to the scale this weekend, beating out 67 other teams to win the 2018 Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA) State Bass Fishing Championship on Kentucky Lake.


Co-angler Title Goes to Hendersonville’s Brinson
(May 16, 2018 - WINCHESTER, TN) Boater David Steadman Jr. of Normandy, Tennessee, won the T-H Marine FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Music City Division tournament on Tims Ford Lake Saturday with a five-bass limit weighing 14 pounds, 13 ounces. Steadman pocketed $2,648 for his win.
