Missouri's Corcoran Wins Co-Angler Title, $50,000
(Aug. 16, 2013 - SHREVEPORT, LA.) Forty-six of the best professional bass anglers from across the country continued their four-day battle for a top cash award of $500,000 at the Forrest Wood Cup presented by Walmart, the world championship of professional bass fishing, at the Red River in Shreveport/Bossier City on Friday.

(Aug. 12, 2013 - GOLCONDA, IL.) Marcus Sykora of Osage Beach, Mo., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 13 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday to win the Walmart Bass Fishing League Illini Division event on the Ohio River at Golconda. For his victory, Sykora earned $4,756.


(Aug. 11, 2013 - WADDINGTON, N.Y.) Brandon Palaniuk wanted - needed, in his mind - to find a way into the 2014 Bassmaster Classic, the world championship of bass fishing. "I don't care about the money, just give me the Classic berth," Palaniuk said after he led on the first day of the Aug. 8-11 Evan Williams Bourbon Showdown at St. Lawrence River out of Waddington, N.Y.

(Aug. 06, 2013 - HARRISON TOWNSHIP, MI.) Mark Flick of Delton, Mich., won the Aug.3 Michigan Division event on Lake St. Clair with a 19-pound, 14-ounce limit. For his efforts, Flick walked away with over $5,400 in tournament winnings.

Winning the title in the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship on Georgia's Lake Chatuge, Auburn University at Montgomery's Tom Frink gets to go out on top, and Jacob Nummy gets to see his creation rise to the highest possible high. AUM tallied a three-day total of 43-3, winning by 6-11.


(Aug. 03, 2013 - SYRACUSE, N.Y.) On Day 2 of the Bass Pros Shops Bassmaster Northern Open on Oneida Lake, New York pro Jim Bianchi landed the largest limit of the tournament, 19 pounds 4 ounces, to build a lead of more than 2 pounds over his closest competitor.

(Aug. 02, 2013 - SYRACUSE, N.Y.) At the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Northern Open, New York pro Jim Bianchi hit his largemouth bass spots hard on Day 1 to amass a catch of 15 pounds, 12 ounces. He thought he may have burned them up, but on Day 2, he had more than 19 pounds of Oneida Lake green fish in the livewell by 9:30 a.m. and was able to relax the rest of the day.

During the official practice Golub developed a run and gun approach junk fishing. He stayed with that pattern during the tournament fishing whatever felt right in depths of 1 to 12 ft. looking for wood, rocks and weed edges as he bounced around between the Crown Point Bridge and South Bay.

Pro-angler Kory Sprengel, of Beaver Dam, Wis., brought in a two-day total of 75.04 pounds of walleye to win the pro-angler category of the Cabela?s National Walleye Tour (NWT) event at Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. This is the angler?s second NWT tournament win of the season and lands him on top of the standings for the Lucas Oil Angler of the Year race heading into the championship.

(Jul. 29, 2013 - CANNELTON, IN.) Kaoru O'Bryan of Crestwood, Ky., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 12 pounds, 1 ounce Saturday to win the Walmart Bass Fishing League Hoosier Division event on the Ohio River at Rocky Point. For his victory, O'Bryan earned $5,804.


Williams wins co-angler title
(Jul. 29, 2013 - RICHMOND, Va.) Chris Dillow of Waynesboro, Va., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 15 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to win the Walmart Bass Fishing League Shenandoah Division event on the James River. For his victory, Dillow earned $6,046.

(Jul. 28, 2013 - TRENTON, MI.) The Indiana University team of Sean Gillenwater of Bloomington, Ind., and Josh Collier of Ellettsville, Ind,, won the FLW College Fishing Central Conference Invitational on the Detroit River Sunday with a five-bass limit weighing 16 pounds, 7 ounces. Their two-day total of 10 bass weighing 31-10 earned the club $4,000 and qualified the team for the 2014 FLW College Fishing National Championship.


New Berkley prototype bait proves valuable
(Jul. 27, 2013 - COLUMBIA, S.C.) Berkley pro Gary Parsons isn't a stranger to winning big tournaments, but winning one on a prototype bait isn't something he's accustomed to. Parsons did just that, claiming the title to the AIM Pro Walleye Series Tournament in Oconto, Wis., this past weekend.

(Jul. 27, 2013 - Trenton, MI.) Michael Sitko of Farmington, Mich., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 21 pounds, 6 ounces Saturday to win the EverStart Series Central Division event on the Detroit River presented by Mercury. Sitko jumped into the top spot after starting the day in seventh place.

(Jul. 21, 2013 - Decatur, AL.) Mitchell Gowen and Brianna Tucker of Decatur Heritage outfished 65 other high school teams to win the 2013 B.A.S.S. High School Invitational on Wheeler Lake in Decatur, Ala., Saturday by bringing in 16 pounds, 15 ounces of largemouth bass.This was the first event of its kind and netted the team a spot in the 2014 B.A.S.S. High School Classic, which will be held in conjunction with the 2014 Bassmaster Classic.

(Jul. 21, 2013 - PLATTSBURGH, N.Y.) The Shippensburg University team of Kevin Hollasch of Shippensburg, Pa., and Hunter Chamberlin of Marriotsville, Md., won the FLW College Fishing Northern Conference event on Lake Champlain Saturday with five bass weighing 17 pounds, 15 ounces. The victory earned the club $2,000 and advanced the team to the FLW College Fishing Northern Conference Invitational tournament.

Giannini wins co-angler title

Tom Lavictoire Jr. of West Rutland, Vt., weighed a five-bass limit totaling 14 pounds, 4 ounces Saturday to win the EverStart Series Northern Division event on Lake Champlain with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 43 pounds, 15 ounces. For his victory, Lavictoire Jr. earned $34,915.
