(Jul 20, 2017 - CLAYTON, N.Y.) As many as 400 pros and co-anglers are ready to compete July 27-29 in the Costa FLW Series Northern Division event on 1000 Islands. The tournament, presented by Evinrude, is the second regular-season event of 2017 scheduled in the Northern Division. Pros will be casting for a top award of up to $44,000 in cash and a new Ranger Z518C boat with a 200-horsepower Evinrude outboard.


World’s Best Anglers Eye $300,000 Title in Historic 22nd-Annual Championship
(Jul 20, 2017 - COLUMBIA, S.C.) The Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of professional bass fishing, will return to Lake Murray Country, Aug. 11-13, to crown bass fishing’s top angler of 2017. Hosted by the Capital City Lake Murray Country Regional Tourism Board, the tournament will feature 53 of the world’s best bass-fishing professionals casting for the sport’s biggest award – $300,000 cash.

Angler of the Year, Rookie of the Year and Forrest Wood Cup Field to all be Decided
(Jun 1, 2017 - MARBURY, Md.) The seventh and final regular-season event of the 22nd season of the FLW Tour, the most competitive circuit in professional bass fishing, is coming to Marbury June 15-18 for the FLW Tour at the Potomac River presented by Costa Del Mar. Hosted by the Charles County Board of Commissioners, the tournament will feature 320 pros and co-anglers casting for top awards of up to $125,000 cash in the Pro Division and up to $25,000 cash in the Co-angler Division.

New incentives for high school anglers  
(May 26, 2017 - Little Rock, AR.) The Simmons Bank Big Bass Bonanza is the state’s largest amateur fishing tournament, and this year’s guaranteed cash prizes include: $50,000 for the largest fish overall; $10,000 for the largest fish overall in each of the remaining four pools; and place money for overall winners per pool, with $900 for second place, $700 for third and $400 for fourth.


Corbin Will Perform Prior to Forrest Wood Cup – Bass Fishing’s World Championship

Country music superstar Easton Corbin will perform a free concert on the weigh-in stage at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia on Sunday, August 13, beginning at 4 p.m. before the world’s premier bass anglers weigh their final-day limits at the 2017 Forrest Wood Cup – professional bass fishing’s world championship. The victory earned the Sonoma State bass club $2,000 and the team will now advance to compete at the 2018 FLW College Fishing National Championship.

Big things just keep happening at Chickamauga Lake.   Last week, the 36,240-acre Tennessee River impoundment hosted a Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Southern Open, with John Cox winning the pro division and Darrell Davis landing an 11-pound, 5-ounce largemouth that ranks as the biggest bass caught in a B.A.S.S. event this year.   Now the lake is about to play host to the largest field in the 50-year tournament history of B.A.S.S.

Coulter was only minutes removed from missing the cut in an Elite Series event at Toledo Bend earlier this month when he fired off a quick note to Chris Bowes, tournament director for the Bass Pro Shops Bassmaster Open Series.
