The Grace Christian Academy duo of Spencer Peters and Austin Kirby brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 13 pounds, 2 ounces, to win the 2016 TBF/FLW High School Fishing Tennessee State Championship on Norris Lake. The win earned the team trophies, the title of state champions, a $10,000 scholarship to Bryan College and advanced the team to the High School Fishing Southeastern Conference championship on Lake Cumberland in Somerset, Kentucky, on September 16-17.

It was the final push in the Anglers of the Year race as well as fishing for a portion of this 99% payback event, with over $56,000 in prize money to be won. Father and son Ronnie and Jeff Norris reeled in the only sack over 20 pounds to win over $20,000!

(Jun 6, 2016 - Flowood, MS) Timmy Smith of Petal, Mississippi, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 20 pounds, 4 ounces, Saturday to win the FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Mississippi Division tournament on Ross Barnett Reservoir presented by Power-Pole. For his victory, Smith took home $5,103.


Hunt wins co-angler title
(Jun 6, 2016 - CAMDEN, S.C) Chuck Howard of Elloree, South Carolina, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 17 pounds, 11 ounces, Saturday to win the fourth FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) South Carolina Division tournament of 2016 on Lake Wateree. For his victory, Howard took home $5,718.

Derek Brown of Charlottesville, Virginia, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 18 pounds, 4 ounces, Saturday to win the FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Shenandoah Division tournament on the James and Chickahominy rivers presented by Navionics. For his victory, Brown took home $4,729.

(Jun 6, 2016 - Hot) Quincy Houchin of Mabelvale, Arkansas, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 15 pounds, 13 ounces, Saturday to win the FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Arkie Division tournament on Lake Ouachita presented by Power-Pole. For his victory, Houchin took home $3,386.


(Jun 6, 2016 - MARBURY, Md) The Slippery Rock University team of Logan Pollman of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, and Tyler Sheppard of Hermitage, Pennsylvania, won the FLW College Fishing Northern Conference event on the Potomac River Saturday with five bass weighing 18 pounds, 1 ounce. The victory earned the club $2,000 and advanced the team to the 2017 FLW College Fishing National Championship.

(May 23, 2016 - Lake Amistad, TX) Bass Champs 2016 season is quickly wrapping up, as the South Region held their final event on Amistad, May 21st. There were 145 teams fishing this final round for a portion of the purse valued at $46,400 a whopping 107% payback! Chris Smith & Brad Barrington pulled out the win with over 20 pounds, taking home over $25,000.

For his win, Almassey earned $32,880.
