Veteran IFA anglers claim victory at Houma, take home over $14,000 in winnings 
(Jun 24, 2015 - Houma,LA) Eddie Adams, of Metairie, Louisiana, and Dwayne Eschete, of Madisonville, Louisiana, weighed a two-day limit that totaled 36.15 pounds to win the second IFA Lucas Oil Redfish Open presented by Cabela's on June 20 at Houma, Louisiana. The premier team event paid out over $43,000 in total winnings and will be featured on multiple television networks early next year.

(Jun 22, 2015 - BUCHANAN, TN) Curtis Richardson of Belleville, Ontario, Canada, brought a 19-pound, 9-ounce five-bass limit to the scale Saturday to win the Walmart BFL All-American on Kentucky Lake and the $120,000 payday.


(Jun 19, 2015 - FAIRMONT, W.Va.) Brad Weese used a rarely exploited river fishing tactic to win the Old Milwaukee B.A.S.S. Nation Mid-Atlantic Divisional on the Monongahela River Friday.  In three days of undeniably some of the toughest fishing in divisional history, the West Virginian caught 19 pounds, 1 ounce to win the three-day event with 10 bass total.

(Jun 18, 2015 - BUCHANAN, TN.) Bobby Padgett of LaGrange, Georgia, took the early lead at the Walmart BFL All-American on Kentucky Lake with a five-bass limit weighing 27 pounds, 13 ounces. Padgett will begin day two of the three-day competition with a 3-pound lead over second-place angler Curtis Richardson of Belleville, Ontario, Canada, who weighed in five bass totaling 24 pounds, 13 ounces.

(Jun 15, 2015 - Norman, OK)  Rob Burns, of Plano, Texas, and Mike Burns, of Lucas, Texas, walked away with a prize package worth over $48,000 for winning the championship event of the 2015 Texas Team Trail presented by Cabela's on June 14.  The two-day event, being held on Lake Palestine, came complete with a fully-rigged RangerZ119C, Evinrude 225HP outboard and an additional $1,425 of Anglers Advantage money for a total prize package worth $48,425.   


Tournament pays out over $319,000 to competitors
(Jun 15, 2015 - MOUNTAIN HOME, AR.) Pro-angler, Brad Dirkman, of, Underwood, Minnesota, brought in a two-day total of 26.83 pounds of walleye to win the pro-angler category of the Leech Lake event for the Cabela's National Walleye Tour (NWT) at Walker, Minnesota, on June 13.  

(Jun 15, 2015 - Hopkins, MN) WHAT:  FLW, the world’s largest tournament-fishing organization, is set to sign an agreement with South Korea to bring their internationally sanctioned bass-fishing tournaments to the Eastern Asian nation. The agreement will be signed by Jin-Soo Kang, CEO of MiruNamu, Inc., and Director of OBS broadcasting immediately preceding the June 26 weigh-in on the Walmart FLW Tour stage.

(Jun 15, 2015 - SALISBURY, N.C.) Robert Barrett of Youngsville, North Carolina, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 19 pounds, 5 ounces Saturday to win the third Walmart Bass Fishing League Piedmont Division tournament of 2015 on High Rock Lake. For his victory, Barrett earned $4,806.


Tennessee Pro Beats 145 Anglers, Wins $125,000 in Nationally Televised Event
(Jun 14, 2015 - Dayton, TN) FLW Tour pro Michael Wooley of Collierville, Tennessee, brought a five-bass limit to the scale Sunday weighing 19 pounds, 6 ounces to win the Walmart FLW Tour at Lake Chickamauga presented by Igloo Coolers. Wooley’s four-day total of 20 bass weighing 92-4 gave him a 1-pound, 6-ounce margin of victory over second place angler Livingston Lures pro Stetson Blaylock of Benton, Arkansas.

The Eastern Kentucky University team of Ethan Snyder of Flaherty, Kentucky, and Shaw Owens of Barboursville, Kentucky, won the FLW College Fishing Central Conference event on Kentucky Lake Saturday with five bass weighing 21 pounds, 5 ounces. The victory earned the club $2,000 and advanced the team to the FLW College Fishing Central Conference Championship tournament.

Pro Michael Wooley of Collierville, Tennessee, brought five bass to the scale weighing 23 pounds, 5 ounces to take the lead after day two of the Walmart FLW Tour at Lake Chickamauga presented by Igloo Coolers. Wooley’s two-day cumulative weight of 49-7 gives him a 4-pound, 2-ounce lead over second place pro Billy McDonald of Greenwood, Indiana, who has a two-day weight of 10 bass worth 45-5 as the tournament heads into the third day of competition.

Nation Central Divisional on Ross Barnett Reservoir.   Collins, of the Nacogdoches Bass Club, has a slim lead going into the final day with 27 pounds, 3 ounces. Less than one pound behind the Texan is Louisiana’s Jamie Laiche, with 26-6. Behind them is Wednesday’s leader Billy Lemon of Oklahoma with 24-5.

The 30-team BBQ competition is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society and will be part of a yearlong points race to find the best barbecue in the country.

(Jun 8, 2015 - SKIATOOK, OK.) Sean McAllister of Checotah, Oklahoma, weighed four bass totaling 16 pounds, 13 ounces Saturday to win the fourth Walmart Bass Fishing League North Okie Division tournament of 2015 on Skiatook Lake. For his victory, McAllister earned $4,618.

(Jun 8, 2015 - SCOTTSVILLE, Ky.) Mark Pierce of Cadiz, Kentucky, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 19 pounds, 14 ounces Saturday to win the fourth Walmart Bass Fishing League Mountain Division tournament of 2015 on the Barren River. For his victory, Pierce earned $4,729.


Wright wins co-angler title
(Jun 8, 2015 - SALISBURY, N.C.) Joey Sabbagha of Chapin, South Carolina, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 16 pounds, 6 ounces Saturday to win the fourth Walmart Bass Fishing League North Carolina Division tournament of 2015 on High Rock Lake. For his victory, Sabbagha earned $6,155.

Recreational Boating and Fishing Community Strongly Objects to Fishing Closure
(Jun 6, 2015 - WASHINGTON, D.C.) Today, the National Park Service announced its final General Management Plan (GMP) for Biscayne National Park. Despite commitments made by Biscayne National Park officials to work with stakeholders and the state of Florida to explore less restrictive options, the GMP includes a marine reserve, eliminating fishing and severely restricting boating in over 10,000 acres of the park’s most popular and productive marine waters.
