Industry leaders gather in Washington D.C. to discuss top legislative issues
(May 14, 2016 - ) During the American Sportfishing Association’s (ASA) annual spring Government Affairs Committee meeting, recreational fishing industry leaders met with Members of Congress, federal agencies and the Obama Administration to advocate for one of the nation’s most popular outdoor sports. The meeting, held in conjunction with the American Boating Congress, was held May 10-11, in Washington, D.C.


Great Lakes bass angler honored for his decades of contributions
(May 14, 2016 - Flippin. AR) The Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame recently selected longtime Ranger Pro Steve Clapper for enshrinement into the hall. Clapper is a legend among big-water anglers and his influence on bass anglers in the North still resonates today. The awards committee selected Clapper for his lasting impact and contributions to the sport of freshwater fishing.


(May 14, 2016 - KUTTAWA, Ky.) The McKendree University team of Trent Robinson and Jordan Ledbetter, both of Carlyle, Illinois, won the FLW College Fishing Central Conference event on Lake Barkley Saturday with five bass weighing 17 pounds, 10 ounces. The victory earned the club $2,000 and advanced the team to the 2017 FLW College Fishing National Championship.


(May 14, 2016 - Rogersville, AL) Bradley Dortch of Bay Minette, Alabama, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 16 pounds, 11 ounces Saturday to win the Costa FLW Series Southeastern Division finale on Wheeler Lake presented by Mercury with a three-day total of 15 bass weighing 45 pounds, 10 ounces. For his win, Dortch took home $40,000.

(May 9, 2016 - MUSKOGEE, Okla.) Christopher Jones of Bokoshe, Oklahoma, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 17 pounds, 14 ounces, Saturday to win the FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Okie Division tournament on the Arkansas River presented by Power-Pole. For his victory, Jones took home $6,263.

Johnson Shad Scales and Shad Curltail dominate crappie waters

(May 2, 2016 - ZWOLLE, LA.) Nick Lebrun of Bossier City, Louisiana, weighed a five-bass limit totaling 22 pounds, 13 ounces, Saturday to win the FLW Bass Fishing League (BFL) Cowboy Division tournament on Toledo Bend Lake presented by Minn Kota. For his victory, Lebrun took home $4,866.

On Championship Sunday of the Academy Sports + Outdoors Bassmaster Elite at Wheeler Lake, Omori earned another win after putting together a final-day catch of five bass weighing 25 pounds, 3 ounces.
