IFA Lucas Oil Redfish Open Returns to Houma, Louisiana 


(Apr 13, 2016 - NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FL.)  Some of the best professional inshore anglers will converge on Houma, Louisiana, for the IFA Lucas Oil Redfish Open presented by Cabela's on April 15-16. Complete with extensive television coverage and 100 percent cash payout, the IFA Lucas Oil Redfish Open offers inshore anglers a unique, high-stakes team tournament open to all anglers with an IFA membership.  
 
The upcoming event will operate out of Falgout Canal Marina (1868 Doctor Beatrous Rd., Theriot, LA 70397). Activities will begin on Thursday, April 14, with tournament registration at Quality Hotel of Houma (210 S Hollywood Rd, Houma, LA 70360) from 5:00-6:30 p.m. with the Pairings Meeting to follow at 7 p.m. Anglers will launch from the marina at safe light and return to the same location for each day's weigh-in. Check-in times will be assigned at registration.
 
This IFA Lucas Oil Redfish Open is the first of two specialty events featuring a two-day, team format. First place pays $20,000 (based on a 50-boat field) with the opportunity to add $6,000 by participating in the Ranger Cup Rewards program.
 
The event will include other contingency programs and a Team of the Year race, tracking points over both events. The highest finishing anglers will receive custom rings and paid entry fees for the 2017 Open season, courtesy of Lucas Oil.
