70 Anglers set to Compete on the Rhinelander Flowage!
70 tested anglers will descend on the Rhinelander area on September 10 and 11 to compete in the Central Wisconsin River Series Championship presented by MinnKota, Humminbird and The Stevens Point Brewery. 35 two-person teams will compete for over $9,800 in cash and prizes over two days on the beautiful Rhinelander Flowage System.
Following a season-long competition of 4 qualifying events, these anglers are ready to prove themselves on a system known for huge smallmouth, at exactly the right time of the year.
“Each team can bring to the scales a 5 fish limit and we expect to see some very large fish brought in.” said Tournament Director Mike Hofmann. “Fall is the time for spectacular fishing and these teams are the very best.
Weigh-ins begin Saturday and Sunday at 3 p.m. at Hodag Park. The weigh-ins are open to the public.
