What a beautiful day to be on the water.. The temperature was in the mid 60’s at take and rose to the mid 80’s at weigh-in time. It was a great day for fishing on Lake Houston, even with the muddy waters. There were 23 teams that came out to fish Saturday. There were 71 bass caught, 12 limits weighed in, 170.32 total pounds and that made a 2.40 lb average bass weight.
Our Anglers of the Year Danny Standrie from Huffman & Kary Essl from Crosby, took the first place honors with their limit weighing 14.71 pounds. These guys took home $1,760.00 for their day on the water.
Steve Farley & Joey Matthews came in a close second with their five bass weighing 14.61 pounds. Steve & Joey also weighed in the biggest bass of the day, a nice 4.53 lb’er. They won a total of $1,080.00 for their efforts on the water.
Coming in third place was the team of Tim Neumann and John Littleton. Tim had to fish alone as John had prior commitments. Tim caught 5 fish that tipped the scales for 13.93 lbs. and he took home $525.00. Not bad for a day on the water.
Fourth place was held by the team pf Jimmy Emmons Jr. and Dean Coleman. Jimmy and Dean on $350.00 for their limit weighing 13.68 pounds.
I would like to thank all the fishermen and women who come out and support Anglers Quest. There are a lot of good circuits out there these days to choose from and I am Proud that you all choose to fish Anglers Quest.
