The Angler of the Year race is on and is not too late to get in on the action. Our first tournament of the year on Lake Palestine was expected to be very slow and hard due to record low water levels and temperatures in the low to mid 50’s. However, it turned out to be a great start for our East Division Anglers. With 10 to 15 mph winds and overcast skies, 83 fish were weighed in for a total of 259.42lbs.
First place with 28.44 was the team of David and Jerry Laymance.
Second place with 22.92 with another limit went to Todd Pierce and Wade Hipke.
Third place went to Kevin Hatcher and Brad Morris with 21.79.
Big Bass award sponsored by Texas Sidewinder Rods went to Bobby Beasley for his 8.40 pounder.
