Hi, this is Mark Burgess, Team Yamaha Pro. Some boating tips for everyone. We all like to keep our boat looking decent, especially when we go to re-sell it. It’s very important no matter where you fish, as soon as you pull it out of the water to wipe it off, just give it a good once over. Use some spray on wax, and wipe it down. It’s also a good opportunity to look it over really good, especially your equipment.
Check engine bolts, trolling motor bolts, we’re awfully hard on our equipment and you want it working properly when you’re fishing a tournament. So it’s a good opportunity to do that when you are wiping it down. You also want to charge your batteries immediately after getting off the water. Battery tie downs get loose in rough water, so check them.
