Anglers Quest 2010 Sam Rayburn Individual Series #8 out of Mill Creek Park in Brookeland, TX began this event with 11 anglers showing up to fish for the $1485.00 purse. After the playing of the National Anthem this 8th Individual Series event was started at 6:20 am. The anglers had to be in line to weigh by 3:15 pm. This Rayburn Individual Series after all 9 events will provide the Angler of the year with free entries to all 2011 Rayburn Individual Series events.

FLASH All A/Q lake series championships have been reinstated for 2010 and will be done on home series lakes. The anglers entering a minimum of 4 Rayburn Individual series events will automatically qualify for the 1-day Sam Rayburn Individual series Championship in October. Any angler making the cut to any A/Q Championship will also be eligible for the “Tournament of Champions” at Lake Palestine in November.

Sam Rayburn water was in good shape and about 4 3/4 ft below normal pool level with water temps ranning 90-92 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a very calm 84 degrees with a warming to 98 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was pretty good on Big Sam today as there were 4 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 35 bass at 97.51 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.78 lb.

Alan Moore from Lufkin, Tx ran his Ranger/Rude bass rig to Main mid lake points around grass to catch his bass throwing Tx rigged worms in 6′-8′ water. Alan managed to catch 20 keepers to finish in 1st place with 23.98 lbs. Alan also had the Big Bass of the day at 7.15 lbs and collected $960.00 for his day on the water. Alan wanted to thank Terry’s Marine & Tri Lake Tackle for their support.

Chris McCall from Jasper, Tx ran his Ranger/Rude bass rig to main lake areas with 1-3 ft scattered grass to finish in 2nd with his best 5 bass, caught using his Revo reels spooled with Berkley fireline braid and unnamed rods. Chris used Santone Rayburn swim jigs and Gambler cane toad baits that tipped the scales at 14.09 lbs. Chris collected $470.00 for his day on the water.

Ricky Guy was the 1st place out of the money with 5 bass at 13.09 lbs and received the gift certificates. Ricky passed off the Santone Lures & ZZ Lures Gift Certificates to Gary Miettinen for his catch of 4 bass at 10.66 lbs.The entire results from this and all A/Q events put on by Anglers Quest can be viewed at www.anglers-quest.com
