Our first tournament was held on the Ross Barnett and we put in at Tommy’s on Hwy. 43. We had 12 couples with 25 fish caught at 86.11 lbs. and they were all released alive.
The forecast for the day was predicting rain and high winds. Luckily the weatherman was wrong and the rain held off until we could finish the tournament. All but three couples caught fish and the Lay’s were the big winners of the day with 22.12 lbs. Dan Love fished by himself and came in second with 12.29 lbs. and his first check in the couples trail. We would like to say way to go Dan and keep it up. Christy and Michael Savell had the big bass of the day that weighed 6.44 lbs. caught by Michael.
We think all in all we had a good tournament and wish all our couples could have caught fish but as all of you know that’s just the way it goes sometimes but we have five more tournaments to go. We also would like to thank all our couples for coming back and the new ones for coming on board with us. Our next tournament is in Greenville on Lake Ferguson on April 25, 2004.
