Back Bays Warm Up Fast

In the spring that I like to look for, back bays. Especially in the northeast where I live, being from Connecticut, is that I fish a lot of the back bays early in the spring because they tend to warm up the fastest. And what these bays have is a lot of black muck on the bottom. The fish will come into these black mucky bottom areas, and they’re not usually using it to spawn. They’ll spawn near it, but what they’re using it for is just for the warmth of the water and they’ll just suspend and just cruise around in 2-4 feet of water. And these are very good fish, and you can catch a lot using Wacky worms. You can catch a lot of these fish throwing a little small Walker City finesse fish. And when you are just fishing around, and trying to blind cast ahead of the boat. Blind casting to dark spots that are mixed among sand or stumps makes it even better.By: Walker Agency
