The weather on the final stop for the 2005 CAST/NORTH region was thunderstorms and rain, but the bite was on. Most couples who survived the weather were able to catch and cull 2 or 3 limits. Early morning when it was raining the hardest seem to be when the bite was best.
Larry & Mary Lynn Wood used a crankbait from academy to catch big bass that went 4.5 lbs. The couple also had 4 more keepers for a total of 9.25 lbs. to take 1st place for the tournament and runner up for anglers of the year.
Shirdie and Kim Mahan fished the south side of the lake with jigs and worms to bring in a 5 fish stringer that weighed 7.15lbs. to take 2nd place.
John Bills & Brenda Reeves used watermelon/red brush hogs to catch a limit that weighed in at 6.45lbs. This was enough for 3rd place for the tournament and 3rd place overall for the year.
Congratulations to Arthur Tucker & Meta Burrell for a great season. The couple weighed in 6.15lbs. to tie for 5th place, but was enough to hang on to anglers of the year by 2 points.
