We could not have had more fun under the sun than we had at Lake Coleman. There were a number of couples that camped, some cooked out and others just ate out, can you guess which I did? The park area is very nice with shade trees and camping near the water so you can just pull the boat up to the shore. The fishing was better on pre-fishing day for some, but I think most had a great time and enjoyed the tournament.
Barry and Janice Bennett have now made it two in a row with their first place finishes at Hubbard Creek and now at Lake Coleman, can they make it three in a row. “Good Luck you guys” Cliff and Sarah Wagnor came in a close second with five fish weighing 11.38 lbs. Larry and Terri Fillmon took third place and Big Bass with a total of 9.94 lbs. Their big bass was a very nice 3.7 lbs.
Our next tournament will be at Brady Lake July 17th . We will have registration at our camp site on Saturday the 16th from 5pm till 6pm in the park area. The Brady Lake store phone number is 325-597-1073 and they can help you with campsite information. The Lake has a launch fee of $5 a day per boat if your not camping in the park area. This is our last tournament for the west region and the top six and the race for the Field and Streams Sporting Goods top three are still up for grabs so good luck and may the fish be big.
