Bass Guard’s Chris DiBerardino WINS

Anglers Quest 2010 Livingston Individual Series Championship is now in the books, and the Individual Series for Lake Livingston is complete for 2010. The event began on Friday evening with the presentation of the special ” Anglers Quest Goal Post” to the new “2010 Angler of the Year”, Chris DiBerardino, Chris will receive free paid entries to all A/Q Livingston Individual Series Events in 2011. The Calcutta Auction followed and sold Individuals from $50 to $170 and raised $550.00 to add to the anglers pot. As at all Anglers Quest Championship auctions, there were 10 Limit Stix American Rodsmiths rods auctioned off to raise $ for the “Tournament of Champions” coming up at Lake Palestine in November.

The weather was clear and very nice on Sunday with low 50’s at daybreak to high 70’s during the day with a brisk northerly breeze for the event on Lake Livingston. As the event got underway with the 5 qualified teams taking off into the dim morning light from their choice of launch ramps around the lake at 6:50 am. The anglers were all going for the $2,040.00 purse that was the payback by Anglers Quest at this Championship event. The water at Lake Livingston was changing to muddy water conditions from all the recent rains and was at approximately 1/2 ft above normal pool level. At the end of the day the 5 teams brought in 1 limit of bass, 11 fish that totaled 25.45 lbs with a 2.31 avg.

David Filla from Baytown brought in 2 bass at 5.64 lbs to collect the Santone & ZZ Lures gift certificates and the $25.00 gift certificate from Kickapoo Bait & Tackle. One of David’s Bass was the 1st Big Bass of the event at 3.64 lbs and he collected $150.00 for that one bite.

Ricky Guy from Humble fished this event from his Tiremax wrapped BassCat/Rude Bowden Marine ride and brought in 4 bass at 7.97 lbs to claim 2nd place and $365.00. Ricky did purchase himself in the Calcutta auction on Friday night for $170.00. Ricky received a check for his 2nd place finish for $220.00. Ricky received a total of $585.00 for his day on the water.

Chris DiBerardino from Huffman ran his Bass Guard wrapped BassCat/Mercury to Kickapoo Creek areas using his American Rodsmiths rods & Revo reels tipped with Small cranks & spinner baits. Chris came to the scales with 5 bass at 11.84 lbs to give him the 1st place finish and collected $875.00. He also had the 2nd BB a 3.18 lber that paid him $100 for that one bite. Chris did purchase himself in the Calcutta auction for $150.00 and laid claim to $330.00 for his 1st place finish. Chris collected a total of $1305.00 for his day on the water….Good Job to our 2010 Individual Livingston Angler of the Year.

Anglers Quest 2011 Schedules are now available online at the anglers-quest website. The 1st events for the 2011 season will be the Saturday Series Team event on Sam Rayburn, January 8, & the Individual event on January 9, 2011.
