Finesse, Simplified
With so many finesse baits on the market, anglers tend to over think their next move when the bite gets tough. When former Bassmaster Classic Champion and B.A.S.S. Angler of the Year Michael Iaconelli encounters a problem of bait selection, he goes with the simplest selection, the HAVOC 4-inch Beat Shad.
The Beat Shad is equipped with a minnow shaped head that securely holds a jig head, and the body is ribbed with a gradual taper to the paddle tail. A ribbed body means more movement for anglers looking for some extra action when coaxing bass that just won’t bite anything else.
“I designed this bait to be fished simple,” said Michael Iaconelli, Berkley pro angler. “With the Beat Shad, there is no need to overthink rigging. I use really light line and a very light darter head jig. I cast and retrieve the Beat Shad mostly around docks, but feel free to throw wherever there is ample cover for bass to hide. This is a no frills type of bait. It is made to simplify fishing for anglers that love finesse-style techniques.”
The Berkley HAVOC Beat Shad come in the following colors: Black Blue Silver, Chartreuse Pepper Red, Green Pumpkin Blue, Oyster Shell Gold,
Pearl White Silver Black, Pumpkinseed Red, Smoke Black Purple and
Watermelon Black Silver. Size is 4 inches
MSRP for a 8-count package of the HAVOC Beat Shad is $3.49.
