We now have our third tournament of Lake Drive Marine 2004 bass tour completed this year, which leaves us only one to go. Randall Lake once again proved to be tough for a lot of the fisherman. The weigh-in was the tough part for all the tournament workers. The rain came down hard during the second flight, but thanks to all we made it through.
We had a total of 64 teams. Only eight teams brought in a limit. This will confirm the fact that fishing was very tough. The team of Brian and Shawn Freeze brought in the big sack with a weight of 11.52#, winning by nearly two pounds. Brian and Shawn also had big bass for the day at 4.75#; Big Bass was sponsored by Hemmel Chevrolet. Nice Job Brian and Shawn.
John Gustin and Jim Connell had four fish and were close to cashing a check but fell just short. However, they stuck around till the end and were lucky enough to win the $1000.00 G3 Lucky Draw.
The last stop is at Muskegon Lake, Fishermans Landing. Remember there is a $5.00 ramp fee there.
The race for the points championship is to close to call. At this point anything can happen. As for the 25 teams that will make it to the classic, Nothing is for sure yet.
We had intended on announcing the classic location at the tournament on Randall, but with the confusion we forgot. SOOOOOOOOOO…. The Classic will be held on September 12, 2004 at Michigan Center, Jackson Michigan. Remember the lake will be off limits the week prior to the classic.
We would like to thank all that have helped with the tournaments, the fishermen and all our sponsors. It’s been a pleasure to run the tournament with this great group of people.
