Angler of the year title up for grabs
The Texas Team Trail (TXTT) presented by Bass Pro Shops & Cabela’s will host its championship event on October 24-25 at Choke Canyon Reservoir. The two-day event wraps up the 2020 season and will determine the 2020 Lucas Oil Team of the Year.
Situated in south-central Texas, the Frio River impoundment is known as a quality bass fishery with double-digit fish reported often. All teams who entered all four regular-season events and participated in at least two are automatically qualified for the championship event. A fully rigged Ranger Z519 w/Mercury 225, valued at $53,044, is guaranteed for first place. Additionally, the second-place finishers will take home a Ranger Z518 w/Mercury 150 valued at $41,312.
Registration for the event is already underway – anglers can secure an opportunity to pre-fish October 22-23 by completing their registration online or via phone prior to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21.
A check-in link will be emailed to anglers on Wednesday, October 21. Boats will launch from Calliham Park (700 TX-72, Three Rivers, TX 78071) each day and return to the park for weigh-ins, which are set to begin at 3:00 p.m. each day.
