The C.A.S.T. / North April tournament could be called a “hog tournament” because several nice bass over 7 lbs made their way to the scales.
Corky & Audrey Moody used pumpkinseed Baby Brush Hogs to bring in the winning stringer of 15.00 lbs anchored b y the tournaments second Big Bass weighing 7.90 lbs. The Moody’s fished the “old side” of the lake in the very shallow water in the back of the creeks.
David & Tammy Waller also used Baby Brush Hogs in the creek area of the “new side” of the lake to take second place with 14.35 lbs.
The 9.05 Big Bass of the tournament was caught by Roy & Glenda Flechtner. The Flechtners were fishing in an area where the bank drops off to 30 ft and is known for lunker bass spawning in the large rocks. Luckily the Flechtners had used the door prize they won last month (an Academy Gift Card) to purchase some white Zoom Flukes. The lunker took the fluke at approximately 10:30 A.M. while the Flechtners were dead sticking the baits in deep water.
