The Central Wisconsin River Series, presented by MinnKota, Humminbird and the Stevens Point Brewery, announces the 5 stops on the River Series Tour for 2016!
The River Series Tour will hold four one day qualifiers in 2016 and then a challenging 2 day Championship. 45 2 person teams will compete for top honors, and for the 8 coveted spots in the River Series Championship awarded at each qualifier plus cash and prizes.
“We are coming back to Stevens Point, Tomahawk and Rhinelander in 2016 and we all are very excited” Said Michael Hofmann, Tournament Director for the Wisconsin River Series. “The communities we are fishing in in 2016 are very welcoming and they are have some great fisheries. One of the special things our anglers in the series do is “give back” to the community we are fishing in. At each of our series events, our teams bring bags of non-perishable food that is then donated to the local food pantry to help those in need. In addition to the food, Crystal Finishing Systems Inc. also contributes a monetary check to the food pantry!” “Over the past 4 years we have collected over 9000 pounds of food and $1700 in cash has been donated!”
Besides the Lucrative payout and top 5 Plaques, 8 teams will also qualify from each qualifier to attend the 2 day Championship to be held on September 9-11th on the Rhinelander Flowage in Rhinelander Wisconsin. Special thanks to the Chambers in Rhinelander, Tomahawk, and Stevens Point for bringing the tour to their communities!
