Anglers Quest 2010 Lake Livingston Individual Series #9 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 5 anglers showing up to fish for the $675.00 purse. This 9th & last Livingston Individual event of 2010 was started at 6:40 am. The weigh in time was conducted at 3:15 pm.
FLASH — The Livingston Championship Meetings & Calcutta auctions will be done on Oct 1st for the Team series and Oct 2nd for the Individual series at 7 pm Buster McNutty’s located at 4700 Hwy 190 W. If you qualify for any A/Q Championship you will also qualify to go to the 2-day “Tournament of Champions” on November 13-14 on Lake Palestine.
Lake Livingston water was in good shape and about 1/4 ft below normal pool level with water temps running 82-86 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 78 degrees with a warming to 89 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was poor today as there was only 1 limit brought to the scales, and a total of 12 bass at 24.78 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.06 lb.
Chris DiBerardino from Huffman, Tx ran his Bass Guard wrapped bass rig to Kickapoo creek areas to finish in 1st with his best 5 bass caught throwing chartreuse crank baits around shoreline cover using his American Rodsmiths rods that tipped the scales at 11.94 lbs. Chris managed to catch 7 keepers & 1 of them was the Big Bass of the event at 3.72 lbs. This made Chris $650.00 for his day on the water. Chris with this and other wins this year locked up the “Angler of the Year” award, He will receive paid entries to all Livingston Individual events in 2011.
Chris Wallace from Coldspring, Tx ran his bass rig to the Caney & White Rock creek areas to catch his bass with his rods flipping Tx rigged plastic worms and throwing chartreuse/white spinner baits in 1-5 ft of water. Chris managed to catch 4 keepers to finish in 2nd place with 8.68 lbs. He collected the Santone & ZZ Lures Gift Certificates for being 1st place out of the money.
