Common Sense and Courtesy Go A Long Way

Hi, this is Dean Rojas, Team Yamaha Pro. In a lot of the tournaments that I fish, sportsmanship is the #1 key. Whenever you find yourself in a place where youâre fishing one particular spot that has 2 or 3 or 4 even 5 boats in the area, it’s always nice to show common courtesy, and let everyone fish the area. The general rule is if you get there first, you kind of âget dibsâ on the place. But if you come in on the second or third day, the others usually chase you out. You really don’t want to be fishing the area if you didn’t get there first, and done well. So a little bit of common sense and some courtesy will go a long way in this sport.
