First off, we would like to Thank Everyone for coming to the first event of the year. The weather started off a little chilly, but turned out to be a pretty
day. With the water temperature being in the 40’s and 50’s, this made fishing to be tough on everyone. Despite the difficult conditions, most of our couples still manage to bring in fish to the weigh in.
Taking first place at Lewisville, was Bobby and Joanna Clark with a 5 fish limit, and a total weight of 9.19 lbs. What a way to start the new season: GREAT JOB. We also hope that Bobby’s finger is doing better; for those of you that did not know, Bobby buried a 5/0 hook into the bone on his index finger. GET WELL SOON!
Coming in a close 2nd place is Lonny and Kim McGuffey with 7.54 lbs. This is a new couple that has joined the Metroplex Region and we would like to welcome them to our group. Looks like they will be great competitors, just like the rest of the couples. LOOK OUT!!
Third Place was taken by Joe and Rhajena Staley with 6.14 lbs. Joe was having to fish alone due to Rhajena being sick. He can actually catch fish without her. Just Kidding!!! We really hope that she gets well soon.
Edging in at 4th place, was Quincy and Carolyn Brown with 5.71 lbs. Quincy and Carolyn always seem to bring fish to the scales no matter the conditions. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
One of our couples that are returning this year, Mark and Sheila McDougall, came in with 1st place Big Bass, with a 5.00 lbs bass. It is really great to have you both back. Congratulations!

game, which could possibly be won at the Granbury tournament. The next event will be held at Granbury, Rough Creek, with registration starting at 5:00 am until 6:30 am on 3/20/04. Please if everyone will be registered and in the water by 6:30 am.
