The 2005 Season of the western region of CAST is now under way. With the couples making a great showing, catching fish and enjoying the wonderful day, our Lord had provided for them. The couples fished from the Pecan Bayou to the Jim Ned working their spinner baits and jigs along the flooded grass near the points leading into the rivers. Lake Brownwood has held its full level for several months and the bass are growing from a good crop of bait fish and shad.
It won’t be long before we start calling Lake Brownwood one of the BIG BASS Lakes of Texas. CAST would like to say a big Thank-You to Mountain View Lodge for allowing us to use their marina for the weigh-in and registration.
Pam and I enjoyed seeing our old friends and meeting some new ones at the tournament. CAST is nothing without the great couples that make up the regions and we thank you for coming out and fishing with us. We invite any other couples that would like to join us in having fun and catching fish to meet us at Lake Amistad April 9th at the Amistad Lodge (830-775-8591) from 5pm till 6pm for registration. We will have a drive by livewell check at the motel Sunday morning and launch from Diablo East Ramp at safe light.
