C.A.S.T./North began its 2004 tournament trail at Lake Lewisville with misty rain, fog and the lake level 3 feet low. As our couples launched their boats one of the ladies said the recipe for catching fish at this lake is a little rain, a small amount of fog, a pinch of wind and a liberal sprinkling of Academy crank and spinner baits. Well she must have known the secret because C.A.S.T./North had a great day of fishing with several full stringers of black and large spotted bass brought to the scales.
Dan Jezek and Terri Anderson used white spinner baits on main lake points to bring the winning stringer to the scales. Their 12.60 Lb stringer netted them a $700.00 check for 1st place.
Larry and Mary Lynn Wood used the old reliable lipless crank bait on secondary points to bring in the 2nd place stringer. Their 5 fish weighed in at 12.50 Lbs.
John Bills and Brenda Reeves (last years Classic Winners) fished the back of coves with Exude lizards to land a 5 fish stringer that weighed in at 11.90 Lbs taking 3rd place.
Gary Newell and Lynette Sullivan also fished with Exude lizards on main lake rocky points and landed the 6.15 Lb Big Bass of the tournament.

The next C.A.S.T./North tournament will be April 4th on Lake Amon Carter located at Bowie Texas. Launch will be at the New Lake Ramp. Take Hwy 287 to FM 1125. Ramp is on the left _ mile after crossing the dam.
