David and Tammy Waller land 10.50 lb kicker bass to net win

Over the years Lake Amon Carter has been execptionally good to C.A.S.T./North, producing large stringer weights and Big Bass of the year for the last 3 years. Sunday proved to be the rule and not the exception. The bass had moved into shallow water and a majority of the fish were caught early, but several of our teams added nice “kicker” fish to their stringers around the noon hour.

David and Tammy Waller used a tube lizard in shallow water around trees in the new lake to net a total stringer weight of 20.50 Lbs. Tammy landed their “kicker” about 1:00 P.M. It was a monster black that weighed in at 10.50 Lbs for Big Bass of the tournament. It also landed them checks totaling $711.00 and their second 1st place win this year.

Dannie and Amy Golden decided to try the old side of the lake and it proved to be nearly as productive as the new side. They used a watermelon brush hog around the grass in small coves to bring in a very respectful stinger weight of 17.05 Lbs. Dannie anchored their catch with a nice 5.90 “kicker” for second place.

Tim and Rhonda McDaniel fished the backs of creeks using lizards and managed to land a 7.10 pounder for second Big Bass of the tournament.
