With a strong cold front and high winds on Sunday, March 21, 2004 twenty five couples braved the weather to see if they could take top honors for the first tournament of 2004 in the North Mississippi division. We were down on numbers for the first tournament, but still pleased with the turnout. The weather was a factor but we still had a great time. There were no five fish limits weighed in but everyone who caught fish was pleased. Nine couples did not weigh any fish but said they caught fish just not long enough. Our next tournament is 4/18/04 at Pickwick, out of Pickwick Landing State Park. The largemouth and smallmouth must be 15″ long after 3/1/04.
1st place at Bay Springs was Debbie & Mark Davis of Memphis with 6.36 lbs and Big Bass of the Day at 4.06 lbs. 2nd place was Sandra & Charlie Jones of Lakeland with 5.45 lbs. 3rd place was Vickie & Robert Wells of Oxford, MS. 4th place was Lisa & Randy Gill of Olive Branch, MS with 3.59 lbs.
