Deep water cranking

I’m here to talk to you about deep water cranking. When I’m deep water cranking I’ll tie on the same lure, on the same type of rod, but I’ll vary the pound test line that I’m using. I love super Silver Thread; it has a thinner diameter than most lines, so I can get my crank baits down a little bit deeper. And by changing the pound test line. I can get the same crank bait down an extra foot/foot and a half if need be. I like to throw my crank baits on a seven foot medium to medium light action rod. It gives me a soft tip so when I play the fish out and the fish jumps, the tip gives a bit and he’s less likely to throw a bait.By: Walker Agency
