Anglers Quest 2010 Livingston Weekend Team Series #7 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 62 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the $4180.00 purse.
The event began at safe light, which was 6:00 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm. This Livingston Weekend Team Series after all 9 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2011 Livingston Weekend Team Series events.
FLASH All A/Q lake series championships have been reinstated for 2010 and will be done on home series lakes. The teams entering all 9 or the last 5 events for the Weekend Team or Individual series will automatically qualify for all 4 Series Championships. Top 25 in pounds from any Weekend Team or Individual Series with a minimum of 5 events entered will also qualify for championship. If you qualify for any A/Q Championship you will also qualify to go to the 2-day “Tournament of Champions” on November 13-14 on Lake Palestine.
Lake Livingston water was in dirty shape and about normal pool level with water temps ranning 86-88 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a calm 76 degrees with a warm up to 96 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was pretty good on Livingston today as there were 19 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 107 bass at 238.80 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.23 lb.
The team of Eddie Ellisor & Robert Hogue from Coldspring, Tx ran their Triton/Mercury bass rig to south lake areas to finish in 1st with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 17.58 lbs. With their catch today culling 12 bass using their rods tipped with jigs & brush hogs in 2-6 ft water. Eddie & Robert’s day on the water netted them a Tiremax Incentive Bonus for buying their tires from Tiremax. They were awarded $2000.00 for their efforts.?Good Job!!The 2009 AOY team of Morgan Burton from Livingston, Tx & Randy McAdams from Cleveland, Tx ran Morgan’s Ranger/Yamaha bass rig to areas in Kickapoo Creek to catch 5 keeper bass flipping jigs tipped with a brushhog trailer using their rods in 1-3 ft water around shoreline cover. they had a great bag of bass that tipped the scales at 17.19 lbs to finish in 2nd place and collect $875.00 for their day on the water.
The team of Jimmy Emmons Jr from Humble, Tx & Jeff Stanley from Houston, Tx ran Jimmy’s Champion/Yamaha bass rig to south lake creek areas to finish in 3rd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 15.06 lbs. They reported getting their bites flipping worms & jigs in 3-10 ft water around piers & brush. They also had the Big Bass of the event, a fine 5.56 lber. Their day on the water payed back $775.00 for their efforts.
The team of Kevin Mason from Point Blank, Tx & Chuck Sewell from Coldspring, Tx ran their Skeeter/Yamaha to Palmetto creek areas north of the 190 bridge to catch 5 keeper bass flipping jigs/craw worms in 1-4 ft water around piers with brush. Kevin & Chuck had a nice limit of bass at 14.59 lbs to finish in 4th place and collect $375.00 for their day on the water.
The team of Jody Goodrum & Jake Goodrum from Cleveland, Tx ran their BassCat/Mercury bass rig to creek areas north to catch 5 keeper bass flipping jigs/craw worms in 1-4 ft water around shallow banks with brush. Jody & Jake had a limit of bass at 14.35 lbs to finish in 5th place and collect $225.00 for their day on the water.
The team of Curtis Jordan & George Broussard ran their VIP/Mercury bass rig to south lake creek areas to finish in 6th with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 14.07 lbs. Their day on the water payed back $175.00 for their efforts.
Johnny Clausen Jr & Dalene Felder collected the 1st place out of the money Gift Certificates from Santone & ZZ Lures for their day on the lake for their 5 bass at 11.87 lbs.
On July 17th & 18th A/Q will be at El Dorado Jack’s on Lake Conroe for the 7th of 9 Lake Conroe Individual Series & Weekend Team Series events. A/Q will be at Lake Houston Marina on July 24th & 25th for the 7th of 9 Houston Weekend Team Series & Individual Series events. Then on August 1st A/Q will be at Lake Houston Marina on Lake Houston for the Shane Hawk Benefit Tournament, make plans to attend this event.
