Boaters wanted it. Now Evinrude, the world’s leading name in outboards, has it.
Evinrude is offering boaters a hard-charging new 135-hp outboard to the outboard maker’s increasingly popular line-up of powerful, durable and fuel-efficient two-stroke Evinrudeยฎ outboards with FICHTยฎ Ram Injectionโข direct fuel injection (DFI) technology.
“This new DFI 135-hp two-stroke outboard will provide exciting performance for many kinds of boats from mid-size bass and walleye boats to deck boats,” said Rand McNally, Senior Vice-President of North American Engine Operations. “It has tremendous low-end torque and smooth, performance throughout its operating range.”
Lighter than competitive four-stroke outboards of similar horsepower, Evinrudeโs responsive 135-hp FICHT Ram Injection two-stroke outboard offers incredible power throughout its operating range. In addition, this new engine meets U.S. EPA 2006 standards, the last year phase-in of federal emissions reductions. This outboard also meets California Air Resources Board (CARB) 2004 emissions standards applicable through 2007 and Lake Tahoe’s stringent emissions restrictions for operation on that lake.
The new Evinrude 135-hp outboard with FICHT Ram Injection will be available for North American delivery beginning in the Spring of 2000. International availability will be announced at a later date.
