With a lake change two weeks before the tournament because of a lack of interest we had a very good turn-out with thirty two couples. The river was on a fast rise of about one foot a day and the fishing was tough. Out of thirty-two couples only eleven couples caught fish.
First place went to the Father/Daughter couple of Allison & Tommy Pickett of Bartlett, TN. whose five fish weighed in at 12.74 lbs. and included the big fish of the tournament at 5.03 lbs, making their day worth $740 for 1st, $100 for the FACT Big Bass and $300 optinal Big Bass pot for a total of $1140 plus a Hammer Rod.
Second place went to Pat & Ted Walker of Coldwater, MS. with five fish tipping the scales at 9.49 lbs. worth $610. Claiming third place was Sandra & Charlie Jones of Lakeland, TN with a five fish limit weighing 7.64 lbs. In Fourth place was Carolyn & Victor Lucas with two fish – 7.54 lbs with the second big bass at 4.39 lbs. worth $370.
Fifth place went to Linda & Danny Carter of Hernando with three fish at 6.11 lbs worth $170. Sixth place Teresa & Bill Jones of Bartlett, TN with two fish at 5.41 worth $100.
