Whenever youâre fishing in the springtime, always try to scale down to a lighter sized weight when you’re Texas-rigging soft plastics. My preference is a 1/8-ounce weight and using an Xcalibur Tungsten TG weight. The smaller weight will cause the bait to fall a lot slower, and it will keep the bait in the strike zone longer, and it will increase your odds of putting a big one in the live well.By: Walker Agency
