Bain, Rose and Salley fish against Bolivar, Dibble and Peete
Bass-fishing fans will be treated to a special airing of the “Best Damn Sports Show Period” Thursday night as Chris Rose, John Salley, Leeann Tweeden, Rodney Peete and Rob Dibble join the world’s top professional bass anglers.
The popular sports and entertainment show was taped Friday, Aug. 4, as part of the stellar lineup of action-packed activities surrounding the 2006 Wal-Mart FLW Tour Championship presented by Castrol.
Audience members in attendance got a chance to see the cast and crew interact with Gain Rookie of the Year Gabe Bolivar and Kellogg’s angler Kim Bain. Earlier, Bain had drawn Rose and Salley as partners for a fishing contest against Bolivar, Dibble and Peete. Tune in tonight at 10:30 p.m. local time, in most markets, and watch the outcome of this competition.
In addition, audience members were treated to a host of other guests including fishing icon Forrest L. Wood, founder of Ranger Boats, former Oakland Raider quarterback Ken Stabler and multisport legend Bo Jackson.
The conclusion of the 2006 Look for the Hook Sweepstakes will also be aired tonight. Nearly 9,000 people participated in the sweepstakes, over 100,000 UPC product codes were entered, and 49 contestants took home daily-winner prizes ranging from FLW Tour pro angler jerseys and die-cast models of Ranger boats to FLW Outdoors memberships, magazine subscriptions and clothing.
Five lucky contestants won all-expense-paid trips to the $1.5 million FLW Tour Championship, and one of the five will drive away with the grand prize – a brand new Chevy Tahoe, a Ranger Z-20 Comanche boat, an Evinrude 225 E-TEC engine, Lowrance electronics, Minn Kota trolling motor, Berkley fishing gear and a $1,200 gas card from BP, with a total worth of approximately $85,000.
