Yamaha Marine Group announced today that four of its OEM Regional Application Engineers recently completed the Standards Certification Program offered by the American Boat and Yacht Council(R) (ABYC). ABYC(R) has been developing, writing and updating the safety standards for boatbuilding and repair in the United States for more than 50 years.

“The ABYC(R) Certifications state to the public that the individuals who successfully complete the program have a thorough understanding of the Marine Trade,” said Chuck Butler, OEM Technical Support Manager, Yamaha Marine Group. “We are very proud of these four application engineers and the hard work they have put into becoming experts. Their knowledge will raise the bar in regards to the level of support Yamaha’s OEM Technical Support team can now provide to our boat builder partners.”
