With this in mind the management team at G3 Boats contacted Dan Gibeau of Dewey’s Cook Inlet in Anchorage, Alaska. Dan is one of the leading retailers for the guide and outfitter industry in Alaska and he became an integral part of G3’s latest project. After receiving a tremendous amount of input from guides and outfitters all over Alaska, Dan made several suggestions to the management team at G3. G3 then designed and constructed a series of boats for backcountry use in the Alaskan wilderness. Recognizing if these boats could withstand day to day use in Alaska they could clearly stand the test of time for the average sportsman. These boats spent over a year of evaluation and testing and as a result G3 is pleased to announce the addition of several new models to its ever growing line of aluminum boats. These tough and durable boats were given the name Outfitter in honor of those who make their living in the great outdoors and provided so much support on the project. The Outfitter Series consists of both welded jon boats and deep-v boats.
The Outfitter Welded Jon-boat Series is constructed of all-welded aluminum and are manufactured with one-piece, extruded ribs which are heat-tempered and precisely fit to eliminate stress cracks and ensure maximum strength. Designed with an open floor plan these boats are the ultimate in heavy duty gear haulers and no-nonsense sporting action. The diamond tread floors provide for easy clean up and additional traction. The Outfitter jon package comes complete with a G3 custom trailer which includes the new Trail Guard detachable tongue space saving security system (1652 and larger). The Outfitter Deep-V Series is constructed using the same demanding Alaskan guide standards only in a deep-v format. Available in the new Mossy Oak Break-up® pattern, these boats are ready for any backcountry adventure from the lakes of Alaska to the rivers of Maine. Model sizes range from the light and portable 12’6″ Outfitter V12 to the open-water ready 16’10” Outfitter V170.
