G3 Boats’ New Tunnel Hull Jon Boats For Running In The Shallowest Waters

The fish are feeding, their shiny backs are exposed to the sunlight, but the water is too shallow for most boats to get within casting range. With the new Tunnel Hull Jon Boats from G3 Boats, anglers can get the boat just about anywhere needed, even in shallow water just a few inches deep instead of moving on to the next hole.

The new tunnel hull design allows for higher placement of the Yamaha outboard and directs water towards the prop for additional power in shallow conditions. Like all of G3’s package jons, these tunnel boats have an all welded .100-gauge hull with high strength one-piece extruded ribs, reinforced corner and transom braces and stamped-in keels and bow eyes. G3 boats are built for years of durability no matter what the conditions.

The 17′ Model 1756 CCT has a 77″ beam, a bottom width of a full 56″ and sides that are 21″ deep. The larger Model 1860 CCT measures 17′ 11″ in length with an 80″ beam, 60″ floor and 24″ side. With these dimensions, these tunnel hull jon boats give anglers ample elbow room and provide smoother and more stable rides.

The Model 1756 CCT is rated for a 70 horsepower Yamaha outboard and has a maximum weight capacity of 1170 pounds. The 1860 CCT is rated for 90 horsepower and can carry 1500 pounds.

Behind the center fiberglass console on both models is a new flip back helm seat that is insulated and can be used for storage or as a cooler. The front of the central command center console finds an 8-gallon aerated livewell with a camouflaged seat cushion top to give the passenger a more comfortable ride. A stainless steel grab rail is located above the console for more comfort and convenience while standing or driving.

The floor has a powder-coated diamond tread finish that is good looking, durable and skid-resistant. The front casting deck surface is coated with a sand-infused paint for a more skid-resistant footing.

Additional standard features on the G3 tunnel jons are navigational lights, 12-volt trolling motor wiring and a 6-gallon portable gas tank. G3 tunnel jons are delivered with a G3 custom, galvanized trailer.

All G3 boats are powered with dependable Yamaha outboard engines. Buyers of a G3 boat, motor and trailer package also receive the G3 Advantage package that includes free resident freshwater fishing licenses for the buyer for three years.
