Anglers Quest 2010 Conroe Individual Series #4 out of El Dorado Jack’s in Montgomery, TX began this event with 3 anglers showing up to fish for the $420.00 purse. This 4th event of 2010 was started at 6:30 am with weigh in conducted at 3:15 pm. With temps in the 60’s and raining all day, this was a miserable day to be on the water. This Conroe Individual Series after all 9 events will provide the Angler of the year with free entries to all 2011 Conroe Individual Series events. The anglers entering all 9 Rayburn Individual series events will automatically qualify for the 2-day “Tournament of Champions” Championship on November 13-14 on Lake Palestine. A special highest point Top 10 group of anglers will qualify to go to the “Tournament of Champions” with a minimum of 6 events entered. Anglers Quest “Tournament of Champions” will Guarantee $35,000.00 to 1st-2nd & 3rd places.
Lake Conroe water was in good shape and about normal pool level with water temps running 68-72 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a very cloudy and rainy 65 degrees with a warming to 73 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was a little slow today for most on Conroe as there were no limits of bass brought to the scales today. There was only a total of 4 bass at 14.94 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 3.73 lb.
Garrett Pierce from Conroe, Tx run his ProCraft/Mercury bass rig to areas north & south of the 1097 bridge to catch his bass throwing a variety of different lures in 2-6 ft of water. He only managed to catch 3 keepers to finish in 1st place with 10.37 lbs and made him $350.00 for his day on the water.
Cary Jackson finished in 2nd with 1 bass at 4.57 lbs and took home the Big Bass award of $55.00 & the Santone Lures & ZZ Lures Gift Certificates for 1st place out of the money.

Anglers Quest will be back at El Dorado Jack’s on Lake Conroe on Wednesday April 21st for the 4th of23 Lake Conroe Wednesday night Series events, these events will go from 6:00-9:15 pm with a $85 entry fee per team. On April 24th & 25th Anglers Quest will be at Lake Houston Marina on Lake Houston for the 4th of 9 Houston Saturday & Individual Series events. The Tuesday Series also continues on Tuesday April 20th on Lake Houston from 6:00-9:15 pm. The next Saturday & Individual series at Sam Rayburn will be on May 1st & 2nd. There will be 2 Individual events on Rayburn in May on the 2nd & the 8th. On May 15th & 16th A/Q will be at Kickapoo Bait & Tackle at Lake Livingston. Remember to get your teams entry in early to get a low take off #, as they are issued when you enter.
