Anglers Quest 2012 Livingston Saturday Series #4 out of Kickapoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, Tx began this event with 62 teamed anglers showing up to fish for the $4550.00 purse. Any team entering 6 of the 8 of Livingston Saturday Series events will automatically qualify for the 2-day Livingston Championship. The top team in points after all 8 events will be declared the Team Anglers of the Year and will be awarded free entries to all 2013 Livingston Saturday Series events. The teams entering all 8 Livingston Saturday series events will automatically qualify for all 3 of the Lake Series 2-day Championships. Any team qualifying for any A/Q Championship will be allowed to enter the “Tournament of Champions” on October 20-21 at Lake Falcon.
All A/Q Saturday Series events are trailoring events, this event started at 6:30 am. Livingston water was in good shape and 1 ft above normal pool level with water temps ranning 70-72 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a very windy 72 degrees with a warming to 83 degrees by weigh in time. The fish catching was real good on Livingston today as there were 15 limits brought to the scales, for a total of 96 bass at 220.44 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.29 lb.
The team of Gene Pegoda from Huntsville, Tx & Jeff Clary from Tomball, Tx ran their bass rig to the Whiterock Creek area to catch their bass throwing Tx-rigs, jigs and spinner baits in 1-5 ft of water. They managed to catch & cull several keepers to finish with 15.12 lbs. This win made them $1580.00 for their day on the water.
The team of Tommy Shugart from Dayton, Tx & Curtis Jordan from Baytown, Tx ran Tommy’s bass rig to Kickapoo Creek areas to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 14.75 lbs. They had a limit in the boat by noon and then culled several more times throughout the day. Their day on the lake paid back $800.00 for their efforts.
The one man team of Luke Sims from Stephenville, Tx ran his bass rig to undisclosed lake areas to finish in 3rd with 14.30 lbs and collected $600.00 for their day on the water.
The team of Wade & Drew Ellis from Livingston, Tx ran their Nitro/Mercury to the back end of Kickapoo Creek to catch their bass throwing Tx-rigs & jigs in 1-5 ft of water. They managed to catch 5 keepers to finish in 4th with 13.42 lbs. This made them $400.00 for their day on the water. Jeff Stanley from Houston, Tx & Jimmy Emmons Jr from Humble, Tx finished in 5th with 13.00 lbs and collected $200.00. The team of Billy & Dale Driggers finished in 6th with 11.70 lbs and took home $160.00. The team of Chris DiBerardino & Kary Essl took 1st place out of the money with 11.26 lbs and won the 2 $15.00 Buster McNuttys gift cards and the 2 Martel’s Welding Works $25.00 off Gift Certificates towards the purchase of a Rhino Bed Liner.
