The state of the economy has created unequalled opportunities for power catamaran manufacturer Glacier Bay: the company recently combined with their main competitor, World Cat, which lets them challenge their mono-hull competitors in a much stronger position. The company is also developing a line of 17′ to 25′ entry-level catamarans, to debut next spring.
“We recently began shipping our 26′ boats, and by the end of the year we will have made almost all variations and options” says Chris Brockway, president of Glacier Bay. “We’ve made a lot of improvements to our 2010 models, and we invite you to come see them for yourself.”
To celebrate, Glacier Bay recently announced a Fall Factory Incentive program that offers $5,000 towards any 2010 26′ model. To qualify for the discount, the purchase must be completed by December 15, 2009. More information about the program can be found through a authorized local dealer or on the web at the glacierbaycats/factoryrebates website.
Glacier Bay dealers currently have very limited inventory. However, a dealer can buy any boat in the Glacier Bay network, providing customers with a great price and the service they deserve. To help customers find the right boat, Glacier Bay has begun listing their dealers’ boats and options on their website, at the glacierbaycats/inventory website.
The company is also launching a new campaign to promote the advantages of catamarans over mono-hulls, and dispelling many of the myths about cats. Glacier Bay sees this as a unique opportunity to grow the cat segment by demonstrating how their boats deliver their customers a strong value for their investment and a better alternative to traditional boating. Chris Brockway states, “Our goal is to grow the catamaran niche in the US, and I know we can achieve this goal: we have a strong company, a great message, a broad product line, and most importantly, we have a customer base that’s passionate about telling our story.”
