Greg Crawford Claims Lake Houston Win

AQ Houston Ind #5

Fourteen Individuals came out to Lake Houston to fish the Anglers Quest Tournament. The temperature started out at 86 degrees and ended up around 93 degrees before it started cooling off from the rain that was on the way Sunday evening.

Our Angler of the Year Curtis Jordan from Dayton Texas, finished in first place Sunday with his 5 fish limit weighing 14.60 lbs. Curtis reported ( fishing out of his ranger / Mercury rig ) that he started out in the bayou and ended up fishing south, flipping Texas rigs in 2-6 feet of water.  Curtis won $695.00 for his day on the water….

Our long time AQ Sponsor Mr. Greg Crawford owner of Crawford technical Services Inc., came in second place weighing his limit for  12.45 lbs. Greg fished out of his Bass Cat powered by Mercury and hit the south end fishing ledges with Carolina Rigs in 6-8 foot of water. Greg loaded up and left weigh-in not realizing he’d come in second place. He’ll pick up his $295.00 on Tuesday night, at that Tournament.

The biggest bass of the day was brought to the scales by Mr. Joe Barringer. His big bass weighed 5.18 lbs. That an awesome fish on Lake Houston. Joe reported fishing in the Bayou and said the Frog Bite was on. He says he caught all his fish in 3 feet or less.

And a Special Thank you to all the AQ Sponsors; Crawford Technical Services, Superior Paint Works, E S I Fire and Security, Vincent Turf Farms, Lake Houston Tire, Fishingworld.com, The LakeCaster Magazine, Lake Houston Marina, Cunningham’s Kickapoo Bait & Tackle, LakeView RV Motel & Grocery, Stowaway Marina, Larry the Lizard Baits and Denali Rods.
