Michael Stewart of Hobe Sound, Fla., won the $700 top prize in the adult division of the Burdine’s Waterfront Dolphin & Blackfin Tuna Tournament that ended June 30.
Stewart, who fished on the Blue Water, earned first place for dolphin with a 35.2-pounder, the tournament’s heaviest.
The second-place cash prize of $350 went to Texas angler Jeff Vondra, onboard the Cool Change, who weighed in a 24.4-pound fish. His 15-year-old daughter, Kylee Vondra, also from Texas, landed $750 for the tournament’s largest wahoo at 44.4 pounds.
A 26.4-pound dolphin earned junior angler Mason Mealer of Naples, Fla., the first-place prize of $300 in that division. Mealer fished from the Main Attraction.
