AQ Tuesday #2
With the winds out of the northwest at 15 mph and a air temp of 62, Lake Houston was choppy and a bit chilly….But that didn’t stop the 15 teams from coming out to fish the 2nd Anglers Quest Tuesday Night Series.
Tony Hawk won the first event last week and came back last night and made it TWO in a row. Tony hawk has fished lake Houston for years. He’s been out of the game for a little while but has gotten his passion for bass fishing back. He brought in 4 fish last night that weighed a total of 15.01 lbs. He also had an awesome 5.47 lb big bass and won a total of $595.00….. Way to go !!!
Albert White had to fish alone as his partner (son Brandon White) had homework and had to miss the evening on the water. But Albert pulled off a second place 5 fish stringer with a weight of 12.28 lbs and took home $310.00 for his evening on the water. Brandon did however show up in time to take pictures. Congratulations !!!
Third place was the team of Tommy Brooks & Lance Lyles, it was brought to my attention that these guys are probably the longest standing team in AQ’s history….. They’ve been fishing partners from the first tournament they fished together approximately 20 years ago…. They brought 5 fish to the scales that weighed 11.11 lbs and won $210.00 for their evening on the water….. You guys ROCK !!!
A total of 15 teams came out to fish last night and I appreciate each and everyone of them.
