Jayâs Best Fall Fishing Tip

Hi, Iâm Team Skeeter-Yamaha Pro, Jay Yelas. My best tip for fishing in the fall of the year is to always fish around the groceries. And what I mean by that is always fish around the food source for the bass. In the fall, the bass are only concerned with one thing, and that’s where their next meal is coming from. In the spring and in the early spring, the bass are worried about spawning and their location is determined by good spawning grounds, but in the fall of the year, finding that next meal is the only thing on their minds.

So use quality electronics, like a Lowrance or Eagle depth finders to find schools of baitfish in deep water. Or use your eyes to locate schools of baitfish in the backs of pockets and coves. Find places where bass can corral those shad, and that’s where you’ll find your best fishing in the fall of the year.By: Walker Agency
