Jeff Jackowski & Steve Cross WIN AGAIN

Anglers Quest 2006 Twin Lake Saturday Series #12 on Lake Livingston out of KickApoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 42 teamed anglers showing up to fish this event. The event began at safe light, which was 6:00 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm.

<“FLASH BULLETIN”> As the majority of everyone knows the first 10 Saturday Series events were conducted on Lake Houston because of the extremely low water levels on Lake Livingston, now that the Livingston Dam has been repaired and the water level is coming back up, the remaining Saturday Series events will be held on Lake Livingston from Kickapoo Bait & Tackle as trailering events. Entry and registration will be at Kickapoo Bait & Tackle beginning at 5am the morning of each event.

This Saturday Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2007 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Saturday Series Championship in October on Lake Houston & Lake Livingston. A special Top 5 group of teams will go to the “Tournament of Champions” to be held in November on Lake Tyler with a guaranteed $10,000 being paid to the winner. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to compete for.

Lake Livingston water was a bit off color and about 3 ft below normal pool level, with water temps running 77-80 degrees. The weather at take-off was a windy 77 degrees with a warming to 88 degrees by weigh in time. Lake Livingston really needs some rainfall to fill up the lake and it got some today as the anglers had to fish almost the entire day in the pouring down rain. The fishing was pretty good on Livingston today as 11 limits were brought to the scales for a total of 69 bass at 154.14 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.23 lb.

Jeff Jackowski and Steve Cross from Spring, Tx ran Jeff’s Cobra/Mercury bass rig to south lake creek mouth areas to catch their limit of 5 bass flipping blk/blu jigs and grape hoo-daddy’s to 3-4 ft reeds & brush to end up with 5 bass @ 14.40 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect the $600.00 plus an additional $125.00 for having the 1st big bass of the day, a fine 5.02 lber.

Larry Cotten & Chris DiBerardino from Huffman, Tx ran Larry’s Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig to Kickapoo creek areas to finish in 2nd with their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 12.39 lbs which made them $350.00 for their day on the water fishing.

Trea Luedke from Montgomery, Tx finished in 3rd place today fishing alone in the Kickapoo creek area. Trea brought in the 2nd biggest bass of the event, a fine 4.05 lber that helped nail down the 3rd money spot overall with a total of 5 bass all caught on buzz and spinner baits @ 12.16 lbs and collected $345.00.

David Wheaton from Crosby, Tx & Tansley Bynog Sr from Porter, Tx brought in 11.45 lbs to nail down the 4th money spot overall and collected $135.00.

A/Q will be back at Kickapoo Bait & Tackle on Lake Livingston next Saturday, June 24th for the 6th of 7 Super Team events. Call 281-852-8842 for any information or entry. 2006 schedules & results for all A/Q series events are now available online at www.anglers-quest.com.
