Anglers Quest 2006 Twin Lake Saturday Series #14 on Lake Livingston out of KickApoo Bait & Tackle in Onalaska, TX began this event with 52 teamed anglers showing up to fish this event. The event began at safe light, which was 6:00 am. Weigh in was conducted at 3:15 pm.

This Saturday Series after all 20 events will provide the Team Anglers of the year with free entries to all 2007 Saturday Series events. The Top 25 teams will go to the Saturday Series Championship in October on Lake Houston & Lake Livingston. A special Top 5 group of teams will go to the “Tournament of Champions” to be held in November on Lake Tyler with a guaranteed $10,000 being paid to the winner. All A/Q Championships include Calcutta auctions which builds the Championship purse to some very nice $$ to compete for.

Lake Livingston water has cleared a lot and is in real good shape at about 3 ft below normal pool level, with water temps running 86-88 degrees. The weather at takeoff was a very calm 82 degrees with a warming to 97 degrees by weigh in time. The fishing was a little slow on Livingston today as only 6 limits were brought to the scales for a total of 61 bass at 145.26 lbs making the average bass brought to the scales today weigh 2.38 lb.

Jeff Stanley & Jimmy Emmons Jr from Humble, Tx ran Jeff’s Champion/Mercury bass rig to South main lake areas to catch their limit of 5 bass casting crank baits to rocks & brush piles to end up with an awesome sack at 18.35 lbs to finish in 1st place and collect the $625.00 plus an additional $155.00 for having the 1st big bass of the day, a fine 4.92 lber.

Larry Cotten & Chris Diberardino from Huffman, Tx ran Chris’s Skeeter/Yamaha bass rig up the river to various creek areas to finish in 2nd place flipping tx rigged baby brush hogs & casting small cranks to bring in their best 5 bass that tipped the scales at 12.86 lbs which made them $415.00 for their day on the water fishing.

The team of Travis Robinson from Humble & Ruben DeLeon from Houston, Tx finished in 3rd place today fishing points with crank baits on the south end in 8-12 ft water around brush from their Triton/Mercury rig. Travis & Ruben collected $310.00 for their limit of 13.71 lbs.

The husband & wife team of Charlie & Gloria Cooper from Onalaska, Tx brought in 13.48 lbs to nail down the 4th money spot overall and collected $210.00 for their catch of 5 bass using tx rigged worms and cranks fishing from their Javelin/Mercury in the Kickapoo creek area.

Jeff Jackowski & Steve Cross from Spring, Tx claimed the 5th and last money spot with a limit of bass that tipped the scales at 13.04 lbs and collected $105.00. Jerrid Theisen from Huntsville & Dave Roberts from Montgomery, Tx brought in the 2nd Big Bass of the day at 4.69 lbs and took home $105.00 for that one bite.
